The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State has officially commenced its campaign for the upcoming local government elections scheduled for next month.
During the event held over the weekend, Governor Malam Umar Namadi emphasized the significance of local government elections as a vital aspect of democracy in the nation.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to facilitating a peaceful electoral process.
“I call on all the good people of Jigawa State to vote for our candidates as we have confidence in their loyalty, patriotism, transparency and commitment for serving the state and humanity in accordance with our party philosophy and our 12-point agenda,” Governor Namadi said.
In his remark at the event, the APC chairman in Jigawa, Hon Aminu Sani Gumel, charged party members to penetrate the grassroots for campaigns to enable the party’s candidates to win the elections.
He said, “We have confidence that Jigawa people will overwhelmingly vote for our candidates, but since it is part of a democratic tradition to go out for campaign during an election period, let us uphold the tradition and use it as a time to meet and greet all the people of the state.”
Edo Polls: Obaseki, Ighodalo Exhibiting Dangerous Symptom Of Hallucination – APC Campaign Council
Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), its governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo, and Governor Godwin Obaseki of suffering from horrific hallucinations.
The Director of Publicity, Edo APC Governorship Campaign Council, Orobosa Omo-Ojo, stated this while speaking to newsmen.
Omo-Ojo, a former commissioner in the state during Adams Oshiomhole’s tenure as governor, was responding to allegations by the Edo government that the party was planning to rig the upcoming September 21 election.
He argued that the call by PDP and Obaseki for external help could be compared to a man setting his house on fire and asking his neighbours to help him.
